Former Everton and Netherland manager Ronald Koeman has been appointed as Barcelona new manager, the former Barcelona player has been given the job following the sack of Quique Setien as the club’s manager. Setien received his sack later today due to his poor outing with the club.
Also, their former player Eric Abidal is also set to receive his own sack letter as the technical director of the club, the club is following the advice given by their central defender Pigue after their humiliating 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals. Ronald Koeman was a player with Barcelona during his playing days he has now been named the new manager of the club.
Ronald Koeman dropped his national team duty as Netherland head coach to pick the Barcelona appointment. Ex-Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino was also tipped for the job but some players voted against it because he had managed rival team Espanyol before.
