A High court sitting in Owerri has ordered the final forfeiture of all properties of Former Governor Rochas Okorocha. The properties are those gazetted in Imo State white Paper on recovery of lands and properties belonging to the state.

Justice Fred Njamanze maintained that Senator Okorocha failed to give concrete and verifiable reasons why the court should not provide the Imo state government with a final and absolute forfeiture order.

According to Justice Fred, there is no reason before the court why the forfeiture should not be made absolute and final. The Judge ordered that the former governor forfeit every property on pages 226 to 272 of the White Paper to the Imo State Government, adding that the state government can do with it whatever they deem fit.

Meanwhile, EveryEvery.ng gathered that Rochas Okorocha promised to build an Islamic University in Daura, Katsina State, through the Rochas Okorocha Foundation.

The former governor, who recently bagged the traditional title of Maga Alherin Kasar Hausa, said students would enjoy free tuition and accommodation at the Islamic university.

He noted that his Foundation has built schools and undertaken many developmental projects in other states, therefore, paying back Daura town for what President Muhammadu Buhari had done for Nigeria.

Earlier, the federal government had announced a plan to build a university of transportation in the town with significant contributions from Chinese contractors executing projects for the government.
