Road accident has claimed the life of a lawmaker who represented Jos North/Bassa federal constituency of Plateau State, Haruna Maitala.
According to a family member, Maitala died in a road accident along Bade-Gitata road on his way to Jos.
The family source confirmed that the lawmaker died alongside his son, driver and security aide, who were all in the vehicle.
The Senior Legislative Aide to the deceased, Abdulkadir Abubakar, revealed that the accident occurred around Kwoi-Kafachan-Jos Road.
According to Abubakar, their corpses were deposited at Kwoi General Hospital in the Jabba Local Government of Kaduna State.
