Reprisal Attack: Seventeen-Year-Old Fulani Pastoralist Killed with 4 Cows

In what seems to be a reprisal attack, a seventeen-year-old Fulani cattle herder was gruesomely killed alongside his cows in the Bassa Local Government Area, LCA of Plateau State.

The sad incident happened few days ago as the teenager attempted crossing with his livestock, a reportedly unsanctioned land where herders have been prohibited from carrying their cattle for grazing.

According to the State Chairman of Gan Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, GAFDAN, Abdullahi Garba, the body of the deceased was recovered the the Plateau State Police Command.

Fulani Reprisal Attack

While confirming the tragic incident, he stated that the killing of the 17-year-old happened barely hours after two members of the Irigwe ethnic group were killed in a convoy of the member representing Jos North/Bassa constituency, Musa Agah.

Narrating the story, the GAFDAN Chairman said that the deceased was attacked by gunmen while his cattle was grazing, it was furthermore gathered that attackers opened fire on him in the process murdering him, four cows and injuring five others.
