Reno Omokri, a famous Nigerian author and former spokesman for Ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC to investigate the National leader of the All progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
In a tweet on Thursday, Reno put up a link urging his followers to sign a petition demanding that the anti-graft agency investigate the APC Chieftain.
He accused the former Lagos governor of contravening the Money laundering Act of 2011 by ferrying bullion vans to his house on election eve adding that nobody is above the law.
“Fellow Citizens, Please sign this petition calling on @OfficialEFCC, to investigate Bola @AsiwajuTinubu for contravening the Money Laundering Act, by ferrying bullion vans to his house on election eve, Nobody is above the law.”
In another tweet, Reno opined that the evidence against Tinubu is obvious, yet, the anti-graft agency refuses to investigate him adding that Tinubu is bold enough to start a Presidential campaign.
A visit by Everyevery.ng to the link put up by Reno shows that the call for Tinubu’s investigation has to do with the large sum of money he allegedly took to his Lagos home with bullion vans on the eve of the 2019 Presidential election.
As at the time of filing this report, four people have signed the petition with about 100 signees in view.
