Real Madrid Rule Out Pogba Move
Real Madrid has ruled out France and Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba’s move, the possibility of signing the Manchester United midfielder is very thin although Pogba said it would be his dream to play at the Bernabeu.
Earlier this week, Pogba opened the door to a potential move to Real Madrid, with the France international having been linked with a switch to the Spanish capital all throughout the summer transfer window.
However, Pogba ultimately remained at Manchester United, where he has become a key player under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in recent months, and it appears that the 27-year-old’s come-and-get-me plea to Real will go unheard.
According to reports, RealMadrid prioritising the signing of Kylian Mbappe, while other targets such as Eduardo Camavinga and Erling Braut Haaland are also higher up on Real’s wishlist than Pogba.
The report also says Paul Pogba will request a yearly salary of €15m (£13.6m), which is too much for Real Madrid to be forking out during this period of financial uncertainty. The United star’s deal at Old Trafford is set to expire next summer, but the Red Devils can opt to trigger a one-year extension until 2022.
