Former Bayern Munich star Toni Kroos fired in shot in the 94th minute which deflected off Carlos as Real levelled for a second time to go two points behind leaders Atletico Madrid. Fernando opened the scoring for Sevilla midway through the first half after slotting in from Ivan Rakitic’s knock-down.

The equaliser came in from Marco Asensio who came in the second half of the game, former Barcelona player Ivan Rakitic scored a penalty to put his side back in front before the own goal levelled scores for Real Madrid. Benzema appeared to have put Real ahead after 12 minutes with a header from Alvaro Odriozola’s cross, however, a VAR review found the full-back to be marginally offside.

Just two points now separate Spain’s top three which are Atletico who are in the first place position, Madrid in the second and Barcelona, in third with just three games left to play.
