France and former Real Madrid player Zinedine Zidane has broken the lockdown rules in Spain, the Frenchman who is currently Real Madrid boss is likely to be punished by the Spanish government for the act. Zinedine Zidane reportedly broke lockdown rules as he paid a visit to his second home in the outskirt of the city. The Madrid manager like others was mandated to stay in their current locations becuaus of the coronavirus pandemic.
The lockdown rule has been in place for more than eight weeks now due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic across Europe. Spain is one of the countries in Europe that have suffered from the outbreak of the coronavirus, they have recorded a total of 28,752 COVID-19 deaths and at least 282,852 recordedcases since the pandemic broke out last December.
Zinedine Zidane has won the Uefa Champions League three times since joining Real Madrid, he is first manager to win the Champions League back-to-back. The manager travelled beyond the borders of the city which he was dwelling to visit his second home. Zinedine Zidane acquired the property last year, but hardly visit the place due to the current situation on ground.
The condition on ground has stopped him from leaving their primary home to visit his second house, he was caught on camera and now he could be charged a fine of about £1,350 from the Spanish authority. Zinedine Zidane will have to remain in Phase Zero until midnight tonight.
With the Spanish La Liga set to resume on the 8th or 12th of June which is next month, the manager will have to hope for a simple punishment so he can return to his duties. Zinedine Zidane is was not the only person to have broken the rules of Phase Zero. Gareth Bale was spotted flouting the guidelines to play golf.
