Manchester United and France defender Raphael Varane has been ruled out for “a few weeks” with a groin injury picked up on international duty. The former Real Madrid player picked up the injury during the Nations League final win against Spain on Sunday.
Raphael Varane out for Few Weeks
The 28-year-old has started six of Manchester United’s games this season since arriving from Real Madrid in August. This is a big blow to United as their skipper Harry Maguire is already nursing an injury. Harry has a calf injury and he has not been able to play since he sustained the injury.
Manchester United released a statement about France International’s injury saying: “Raphael Varane sustained a groin muscle injury in the Nations League final and has commenced rehabilitation at the club.” “He will be out for a few weeks.”
The month of October and November are very chocked ones for United as they some very difficult games in these two months. They will be playing Leicester City on Saturday before playing Liverpool, Tottenham, and Manchester City and play Atalanta in the Champions League.
