Kano State Hisbah Board Writes Cool FM Over Black Friday Tag

Popular radio station, Cool FM has received a letter from Kano Hisbah board after they’ve used the word “Black Friday” on air.

According to the official letter dated 26th of November, 2020, the security operatives expressed its concern over the use of black friday sales which is a “Holy Day” for Muslims.

The statement in the letter thereby requested a stop to the use of the word with immediate effect. The radio station were also informed that their members (Hisbah corps) would be around for surveilance purposes.

This is to avoid immoral activities as well as to maintain peace and order in the state.
