Punishment Meted on 223 Teachers with Fake Certificates in Kaduna

Teachers operating with fake certificates in Kaduna State schools have received a severe punishment that they will never forget.

On Thursday, 02, 2021, the state government took a critical decision to sack about two hundred and twenty-three teachers found guilty of this accusation.

Communicating the development to reporters in the state, the Chairman of the Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board, KADSUBEB, Tijjani Abdullahi, during a press conference to update the government’s decision.

He announced that the authorities detected the certificates belonging to the tutors during a verification exercise in April this year.

Tijjani noted that the primary aim of the exercise was to ensure that they all have the requisite credentials that constitute the basic qualifications for employment.

Chairman of the Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board, KADSUBEB, pointed out that the board has verified 451 certificates by contacting the institutions that awarded the certificates, adding that nine of the thirteen institutions contacted have responded.
