The drama is on Twitter now unmatched, as an online protest against the final results of the 2023 Presidential Election is ongoing. Moments ago, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared Bola Ahmed Tinubu, All Progressives Congress, APC Candidate, winner, and has since sparked some controversial reactions all over Nigeria.

INEC’s final collation showed that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, assumed the second and third positions in the presidential race.

On that note, some tweeps have called on Atiku and Obi to contest the results in Court, arguing that nobody voted for APC, hence they started trending tags like ‘HELL NO’, #Resignation, #SupremeCourt, ‘Japa’, ‘Congratulations Jagaban’, among other related topics.

Many argued on the microblogging platform that the final result INEC collated has nothing to do with the reality of voters’ choice candidates, stressing that the electoral commission deployed delay tactics to earn time to manipulate the results.

Many cited Section 134 of the Nigerian Constitution that provides solution for situations like these, when a re-election has to hold between two worthy candidates to clarify errors in the previous one and confirm the true President.
