The deceased’s cousin confirmed the death on Sunday night, where he narrated that the deceased was posted to Maiduguri, Borno state but their orientation camp is to hold in Katsina State.

“He boarded a vehicle to Kano State, where he was to board another vehicle that would take him to Katsina,” he said.

He added that he did not get to Kano before the crash occurred at Jigawa State, where he died.

He noted that he last saw him on the morning of his death after waving at him when he came home to pick the things needed for the journey.

He added that they heard the news later that the vehicle he boarded had a fatal crash that he described as “pathetic”.

“Humanly speaking, I feel very sad, but since God is the giver of life and he takes it anytime being who he is, I am okay with that. I take it as the doing of the Lord because that is how he proves who he is,” he stated.
