A proprietor’s dogs have dismembered and eaten a two=year old baby, who was brought in to commence schooling in the eastern part of Nigeria.
Other pupils in the school located at Amokpo, Umuanunwa, Nteje, in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, who witnessed the tragic event, were immediately withdrawn to avoid further disaster.
However, before the incident, reports making the rounds revealed that rearing such dangerous animals in the community was not permitted and an offence.
Regardless, the proprietor breached this law and went ahead with the trade of training up to ten despite several warnings from the community dwellers, as indicated in the report.
As at the time of this horrific incident, it was also gathered that teachers in the school premises were no where to be found nor hardly any non-academic staff present.
In the meantime, the incident stirred anger among community youths who stormed the school and shot the wild animals dead.
One Chinedu Oka, a UK returnee who is well-recognized as Chinedu Okaa London, allegedly paid a deaf ear to the villagers’ warnings and kept different breeds in the compound.
Narrating the horrible event, a resident who spoke on anonymity said, “A parent took the child to the school for enrollment when the incident happened. The school owner breeds them in the school premises, despite the community’s warning against it.
