A self-acclaimed prophet has been arraigned alongside a woman and her son for murder.
The trio were on trial for the alleged murder of a 400-level Lagos State University (LASU) student, Favour Daley-Oladele, have been remanded in prison.
The trio – a prophet, Segun Philip; a woman, Bola Adeeko; and her son, Owolabi Adeeko – were on Friday arraigned before an Osun State High Court sitting in Osogbo, the Osun State capital over the murder.
The Ogun State Police Command arrested the self-acclaimed prophet alongside Owolabi over the killing of Daley-Oladele a final year Sociology student at the Lagos State University.
After the arrest by the Police, Owolabi Adeeko narrated how he made her girlfriend, Oladele, as a meat to be eaten by him and the mother because they were ‘broke’.
The deceased was said to have left home to an unknown destination since December 8, 2019, and was not seen. The case was reported by her parent at Mowe Police Station.
Investigation led the security officers to a white garment church, pastored by Philip in Ikoyi-Ile, Osun State, where the student was murdered by her boyfriend, Owolabi.
The Presiding judge has adjourned the case to March 3rd and 10th, 2021 for hearing and ordered they should be remanded in a Correctional Facility.
