There are just a few days left before we move into the second half of the year 2019. In the Nigerian music industry, a lot of work seems to be going on in studios to help us end the year with a bang. Alongside a lot of anticipated hit singles from various artists, we are looking forward to the release of a number of projects.

Wizkid

The fourth studio album of Wizkid is one of the most anticipated projects of the year 2019. Although it has taken a lot of time fans are unrelenting. The Afrobeats Starboy has teased fans on social media with the album. He recently released a single off the forthcoming album titled ‘Joro. There is no release date yet.

Davido

The DMW star boss has also given numerous hints suggesting that he has an album in the works scheduled for release later this year. He has also hinted that he’ll be featuring a number of international artists on it. Just recently, there was an Instagram post showing Ludacris and Davido working together in the studio. We can’t wait.

Asa

After taking a five-year break since she released her last album, Asa finally announced this year that her next album, The Beginning, is coming soon. She has since dropped two singles off the album: ‘The Beginning’ and ‘Good Thing’. We loved the songs and we’re almost certain we’ll equally love the album.

Tiwa Savage

With two albums (Once Upon a Time & RED), an EP (Sugarcane), numerous hit singles and collaborations, and a record deal with Universal Music group in her name, there’s a lot of demand in the market for Tiwa’s next album. The chances of getting one from her before 2019 runs out are high.

MI Abaga

One of Africa’s most talented rappers and President of Chocolate City Music, MI found the time to gift us with two stellar projects last year: Rendezvous and the first installment of the Yung DenzL titled A Study on Self Worth. Although we might not be expecting another project from him, he announced that the second installment of Yung DenzL (A Study on Love) is scheduled to be released later this year. What’s not to love?
