Private University education in Nigeria is expensive but provides better facilities for students. As such, Professor Benjamin Ehigie, a lecturer at the University of Ibadan (UI), disclosed that Private University graduates are better than their Public University counterparts when it comes to job recruitments.
Professor Ehigie said this while delivering a lecture titled “Branding Yourself and Your University.” The disclosure came at the maiden matriculation of 79 students of the Precarious Cornerstone University, Ibadan, Oyo State. The institution is a faith-based institution established by the Sword of The Spirit Ministries, established in 2017.
While addressing the new students, Professor Ehigie charged them to improve their self-esteem. He also told the students that they have a higher chance of being employed over their Public University counterparts because of the quality of graduates Private Universities in the country produce.
