The federal government has reacted to the murder of Ahmed Gulak, a former political adviser to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.
According to Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and publicity, President Buhari expressed outrage and disgust over what he described as a heinous murder of Gulak in Owerri, the Imo state capital.
He warned that nobody or group of people who engages in such despicable acts should expect to go free. However, Graba disclosed that the Buhari-led administration would deploy all resources to ensure that such callous and criminal elements are brought to justice.
The Presidential spokesman added that President Buhari expressed his deep condolences to the family of the Adamawa politician, the people and government of Adamawa State, his friends and associates.
In a related development, former President Jonathan has expressed shock over the death of his former political adviser, Gulak.
The former President described Ahmed Gulak’s death as a painful loss, noting that the deceased was a loyal public servant and dedicated patriot.
In a statement by Ikechukwu Eze, his Special Adviser on Media, Jonathan described Gulak as a loyal public servant and dedicated patriot.
Jonathan further stated that Gulak would be remembered for his modest contributions to the growth of Nigeria’s democracy, especially his memorable days both as a skilful speaker of Adamawa State House of Assembly.
