Pope Francis to Buhari, Ensure Safety of Nigerians

Pope Francis, the Head of the Catholic Church, has requested that President Muhammadu Buhari guarantee Nigerians’ safety.

The Pope, officially born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, saw the need to message a piece of advice to the Nigerian President after carefully observing the spate of killings in the African Nation.

He lent his voice to the events in Nigeria while speaking at Wednesday’s general audience at the Vatican City, Rome, noting that his prayer is with the country at its trying times.

He condemned the killing of Nigerians in the Southern Kaduna area of the State by bandits while expressing solidarity with Nigerians over the recent gruesome deaths in that region of the country.
