Police Officer Cases Accident In Ondo State
A police officer yet to be identified has taken to his heels after causing a ghastly motor accident in Akure, the Ondo State capital while enforcing the dusk to dawn curfew imposed on the state by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
According to eyewitnesses, the police officer who was trying to stop the driver of the car involved in the accident threw a log of wood against the tyres of the vehicle, causing the driver to lose control.
The report also has it that the driver sustained severe injuries as a result of the accident while the vehicle is also badly destroyed.
It would be recalled that Governor Akeredolu imposed a dusk to dawn curfew on the state as a way to reduce the spread of Coronavirus in the state which now has 9 confined cases and also stop visitors entering the state from other states.
