Police Nabs Eloped Delta State Coronavirus Patient In Enugu

A coronavirus patient who escaped from the isolation centre in Delta state to Enugu state has now been arrested in Enugu. 

While describing the situation, the Enugu state commissioner for health Ikechukwu Obi commended the swift response of the COVID-19 task force in the state. 

He further disclosed that contact tracing and decontamination has since begun in respect of the patient.

Ikechukwu Obi reminded the residents of Enugu State that the collaborative effort of everyone in informing the authorities about anyone with symptoms or people who have crossed the boundaries of the state is required to contain the spread of the virus.

The commissioner for health made it known that all the state borders will remain closed and that the 6am to 8pm curfew remains in place. 

He advised the people of Enugu state to adhere to all the preventive measures stipulated while maintaining social distance even as they go about their businesses.
