POETRY: Why Won’t You Work?

Share
The crab walks haphazardly,
It’s out of its comfort zone
Until it has an oil well
That even man wants to have
So why won’t you work my dear?
Learn from the bees oh lazy man;
Listen to their voice in their company
There’s no room for idleness in the beehive
All supply honey in their depot
Will you still beg for bread with your fingers?

Go to the ants, you sluggard
Consider her ways, and be wise
They don’t sleep nor slumber
But hustle in summer, winter, autumn, and spring
Are you still going to wait for manna to drop?
Have you seen the spider setting its web?
Even with low IQ amazes us
Wonder why the fly was caught in it
Don’t just be an onlooker;
Work your socks off, hard work or soft work surely pays.
