Plateau State Polytechnic Authorities React to Abduction Case

The Plateau State Polytechnic authorities have reacted to news circulating the campus that some armed men kidnapped three students.

The school authorities spoke through the Public Relations Officer, PRO, Matthew Dokotri, who confirmed that nothing of such nature occurred involving their students.

However, he admitted that there were actually kidnappings outside the school premises but has no relations with their students.

He also pointed out that the matter is under investigation, adding that he was in the company of the Divisional Police Officer, DPO of PlateauState Police Command and that the Police are investigating.

The PRO further hinted that the person abducted included two females and a male, stressing that the ladies were some squatters living with a woman who stays close to the campus, giving their names as Bencit and Lokfei, the boy’s name unknown.

He said the kidnappers are suspected Fulanis and that some soldiers later came to the scene and arrested their student for unknown reasons and handed him over to the Police.
