Defence Headquarters Clears Air Over Buhari's Safety In Katsina
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has opined that the call for the impeachment of President Muhammadu Buhari by the House of Representatives Caucus is Constitutional.
The party in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbodiyan asked Nigerians to direct their representatives, across party lines, to commence impeachment process against President Buhari.
According to the PDP, the call for Buhari’s impeachment is a direct reflection of the mood and desires of Nigerians.
The party added that the call is coming on the heels of Buhari’s failure in all spheres of governance and particularly in failing to provide effective leadership that can guarantee the security of lives and property in the country and rescue its economy.
Ologbondiyan stated that the PDP had always called on federal legislators in the House of Representatives and the Senate, irrespective of political affiliations, to stand on the side of the people.
PDP stressed that the Buhari-led administration had already accepted failure as reflected in the declaration by one of its officials, that the nation is now at the mercy of bandits and terrorists.
