Comedian Funnybone laments via his social media page as he calls for police reform while narrating how much the security personnel earn.
While talking about the reform resulting from the endsars protest, the comedian noted that until the Nigerian youths roaming the streets jobless start to see the Nigerian police force as a job worth applying for, he fears the force may never get better.
Growing up in Kaduna north, he recounted how a secondary school friend finished from Nigeria military school and was thrown a big celebration party.
Comedian Funnybone further questioned if anyone had seen the police recruits before or visited their college while noting that nothing god can come out of it and no sane person can survive there, which he referred to as a slump.
He compared the salary of the Nigerian police force with that of customs, the military and the likes to back up his point, as he affirmed that a police officer could not be sane with their pay. He also stated that despite the navy or the airforce being paid well, they still haven’t defeated bandits.
“Pay our police well. Reform the entire force. Job seeking graduates with the right motivation should enroll. Do it and see crime diminish in this country.” Funnybone said in his post.
