Paul Onuachu on Fire for KRC Genk

Paul Onuachu will be aiming to score his ninth goal in ten games for Belgian club side KRC Genk. They will be playing their Belgian Pro League game against KAS Eupen at the Luminus Arena tonight, Friday, October 30.

Onuachu netted his eighth goal for Genk when they beat Sporting Charleroi 2-1. The Super Eagles striker, however, failed to find the back of the net against Gent in his last game. He could be back to regain his scoring form against Eupen today Friday with the lanky attacker having netted once in their last encounter.

The Nigerian forward fired blanks when Genk lost 2-0 to Eupen last season’s reverse game on 2 November 2019. Onuachu is currently the top goal scorer in the League. He is leading the Belgian Jupiler scoring chart with eight goals and is only one goal short of equalling his league tally of nine goals in 22 appearances last season.

Onuachu’s compatriot and striker, Cyriel Dessers made the bigger impact as he came off the bench to assist the goal that handed Genk the maximum three points against Gent last time out.

Dessers replaced Onuachu on 78 minutes of the game and gave the assist for Patrik Hrosovsky’s winning goal. Genk won the game in the 84th minute through the goal, Dessers has two goals and one assist in seven league games.
