Oyo State has lost its oldest surviving police facility, Idi-Ogungun Police Station. The Police Station was gutted by fire.

The police station was burned down during the clash between commercial bike riders nd officials of the Agodi Correctional Centre.

Another Police station, Agodi II Police Station, was seriously vandalized during the onslaught in Ibadan.

Idi-Ogungun Police Station in Ibadan is the oldest police facility in Oyo, built in 1929 during the old Western region.

The violence reportedly broke out after a commercial motorcyclist was allegedly shot by an official of the Nigeria Correctional Service at Agodi Gate, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
