Oyo state Governro, Seyi Makinde, has launched a drive-through and walk through testing centre at the Lekan Salami (Adamasingba) stadium, in the state.
According to him, the plan is to test two thousand (2,000) citizens to determine the next course of action towards curtailing the spread of coronavirus.
Health workers will be the first set of people to be tested at the centre and about two thousand (2,000) residents will be tested for a period of two weeks.
Life Bank Nigeria, a medical organisation that ensures access to essential health care products to hospitals across Africa are collaborating with the state Government for the tests.
The state already built a molecular laboratory in collaboration with the University College Hospital certified by ISO and NCDC so the tests will be verified in Ibadan, Oyo State.
