Osun State Governor Loses Top Official

The government of Osun state has on Saturday announced the death of a top member of the government.

Mr Mikhail Adejare Adebisi who is the deputy chief of staff on general administration to the governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola had died on Friday 12th June 2020 after a brief illness not relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr Ismail Omipidan who is the governor’s chief press secretary made this known to the public in a statement he released on behalf of the governor of the state, Adegboyega Oyetola.

The press secretary, Omipidan said the governor of Osun state had paid his condolence to the family of the late Mr Mikhail Adejare Adebisi, describing him as a dependable member of his administration who carried out his duties and any assignment given to him effectively. He also commended the late deputy chief of staff for his loyalty and patriotism to the government and the ruling party in the state, All Progressive Congress (APC).

Osun State Governor’s Statement

The governor said, “I receive with great shock the passing of my deputy chief of staff in charge of administration, Jare Adebisi. His death is not only a loss to me personally and the people of Ilobu alone but also to the state at large. But as Muslims, we should take it in good faith and give gratitude to Allah that the late administrator ran a good race while he was alive.”

The governor also sent his condolences to the family of the deceased, as well as APC and the state in general, noting that his demise would be sorely felt, praying for Allah to grant aljanat firadaus to him as well as fortitude and courage to all who feel his loss to bear it.

The late Mr Mikhail Adejare Adebisi held an LL.M degree and was also pursuing a doctorate in Law before he died. He had served as the assistant chief of staff and also the special adviser in the governor’s office in the previous administration Osun State.
