Osinbajo vs Tinubu: List of Presidential Candidates that Stepped Aside

At the All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential Primaries, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the former Lagos State Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu, became the highlights of the event as a total of nine candidates resolved to step aside for the aforementioned aspirants.

APC Candidates that Conceded to Tinubu, Osinbajo

First on the list is Jigawa State Governor, Abubakar Badaru, who stepped aside for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Second is the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, stepped down for Bola Tinubu.

Thirdly, Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Ajayi Boroffice, conceded to Tinubu as well.

Fourth on the list was Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, who stepped down for the former Lagos State Governor.

Also, the former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, followed his other colleagues and stepped down for Tinubu.

Others on the list include Ibikunle Amosun, the former Ogun State Governor, and the only female candidate, Uju-Kennedy Ohanenye, also stepped down for Tinubu.

However, Vice President YemiOsinbajo only got the youngest male presidential aspirant, Nicholas Felix, while former Senate President, Ken Nnamani, only withdrew from the race without declaring support for any of the remaining aspirants.

It would be noted that a total of 2,203 delegates drawn from the 36 states of the federation and the federal capital territory, FCT, Abuja, were accredited to participate in the election of their party flag bearer.
