American actor Will Smith took the headline at the 2022 Oscars after slapping comedian Chris Rock on stage.
Chris Rock presenting at the gala made jokes about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett which did not sit well with the actor.
Will Smith then stormed the Oscars stage and struck Chris Rock across the face at Sunday’s gala which immediately went viral and left viewers stunned.

Rock, presenting the best documentary prize with a short comedy routine, had cracked a joke comparing Jada Pinkett Smith’s tightly cropped hair to Demi Moore’s appearance in the film “G.I. Jane”.
Jada Pinkett Smith has in 2018 revealed her diagnosis of alopecia which triggered Smith while he walked up to Rock and slapped him with a shocked look on the face of Rock, Smith shouted “Keep my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth.”
Another video surfaced with a tearful Smith needed to be “pulled aside and comforted” by Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry during a commercial break.
