During his congratulatory message to the governor-elect of Anambra state, Sen. Orji Kalu has said politics is not a do or die affair.
On Thursday, the former Governor of Abia state stated in Abuja, commending the candidates of other political parties for the maturity demonstrated through the electoral process.
He congratulated the governor-elect of Anambra state Prof. Chukwuma Soludo and urged the people of Anambra to support the government in taking the state to a commendable height.
Orji Kalu: Embrace Participatory Approach in Governance
“Following the outcome of the Nov. 6 governorship election in Anambra, I felicitate the governor-elect, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.”
“All the candidates were patriotic and selfless before, during and after the election.”
He continued, “The governor-elect should embrace a participatory approach in governance, and I urge daughters and sons of Anambra to embrace peace and unity despite political differences.”
He warned politicians against being an antagonist, as politics should not be seen as a do-or-die affair.
He applauded every individual, organization, security agent and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for ensuring a free and fair election.
Governor-Elect of Anambra state under the flagship of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Chukwuma Soludo, defeated his counterpart, Sen. Andy Uba (APC) and Sen. Ifeanyi Uba (YPP) by winning 19 of the 21 local governments in the state.
