Ondo Elections: Akeredolu Visits Tinubu

Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has on Friday, July 31 visited the National leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu ahead of the governorship elections in the state.

In a tweet, Governor Akeredolu said he visited Tinubu and the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwoolu to formally introduce his deputy governor designate.

He stated that the visit was also meant to consult with both Tinubu and Sanwoolu for the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo State.

The tweet read “Today, I visited our leader @AsiwajuTinubu and my brother @jidesanwoolu to formally introduce my Deputy Govenor designate and consult with them for the forthcoming election in Ondo State. We are one in @OfficialAPCNg and our party is stronger than ever.”

You will recall that his deputy, Agboola Ajayi has dumped the APC to take part in the primary elections conducted by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP where he came second.

The Ondo State governorship elections is slated for October 10, 2020.
