Ondo Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi Dumps PDP

The Ondo state deputy governor, Hon. Agboola Ajayi has officially announced his decision to dump the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

In a tweet on Monday, August 10, the deputy governor noted that he dumped the PDP to join the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP in furtherance of his aspiration to contest the governorship elections.

The tweet reads “Today 10th August 2020, I Resign my membership from the People’s Democratic Party to join Zenith Labour party to further my Aspirations.”

However, he thanked the leadership and members of the PDP for their warm reception while he was with the party.

“I appreciate the National Leadership and members of the party for their warm reception and acceptance in the short period i rejoined the party.”

Agboola Ajayi Dumps PDP, joins ZLP.

Agboola had earlier dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC to join the PDP where he took part in the primary elections to emerge the flagbearer of the party but eventually lost the ticket to Mr Eyitayo Jegede.

You will recall that everyevery.ng had earlier reported that the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ZLP has cleared Agboola Ajayi as its candidate for the October 10 governorship elections.
