Omah Lay Arrested in Uganda After Concert
Fast rising Nigerian artiste, Omah Lay has been arrested by the men of the Uganda Police after his concert in the country yesterday, 12th December.
According to reports, he was arrested for violating the ban against concerts in the country by being part of a concert organized in the state. Following the announcement of the concert, Ugandans sent out complaintd saying that the government is corrupt for allowing foreigners to perform yet restricting Ugandan artistes.
The Assistant Superintendent of Police took to his twitter page to announce this arrest with the tweet,
“Nigerian Artist Omah lay has been arrested by katwe police , the manager of the venue one Dungu Ivan and the Events manager Prim Kasana are also in custody .
More details to follow”
Despite this tweet, Ugandans are still unsatisfied as to how the case is being managed. Many are hounding the authorities with queationa bordering on how Omah Lay was able to gain access to the country for a concert and why the concert was not stopped in time.
