PDP Primaries: Court Strikes Out Case Restricting Obaseki
Godwin Obaseki formally joins PDP ahead of governorship primaries in Edo State. He was received into the People’s Democratic Party by the Vice-Chairman South-South, Chief Emmanuel Ogidi accompanied by the Edo State PDP Chairman and other members of the working committee.
Although Obaseki declined any comments after the event, he has however announced on his twitter handle that he has formally joined PDP. He explained that this move is as a result of his commitment to contest in the upcoming gubernatorial elections in the state. He added that he is passionate about serving the people of Edo State and achieving continuity.
However, the governoship aspirants of the PDP who have been screened and cleared by the party have also revealed they will not be stepping down for Obaseki during the primaries.
