Share

OAU student’s death and the controversy surrounding the incident has continued to rise as Adeola Soetan, Executive Director, Grassroots Watch In Yoruba land, has insisted that the top suspect be brought in for questioning.

Unfortunately, in this case, the suspect is Raheem Adedoyin, the son of Hilton Hotels and Resorts Chairperson, Dr Rahman Adedoyin, who was initially accused of getting rid of the remains of late Timothy Adegoke, the student from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

According to Soetan, the accused’s family failed to mention the part in their letter where Raheem was implicated in the murder of Adegoke.

This was contained in a statement titled, “Adedoyin: Declare Your Son Wanted or Missing,” made available to the Media yesterday.

He reiterated that the Chairman of Hilton Hotels and Resorts failed to note down the part his son allegedly dumped the deceased’s corpse in a bush around the vicinity.

The Grassroots Watch Boss outburst is coming as the Adedoyin family, through their lawyer, Abiodun Williams, issued a press release that was not detailed enough to address the suspicion of the public.

He said the statement did not stress that Timothy Adegoke, OAU, was missing and later found dead after lodging in their hotel, adding that it only cleared Adedoyin’s name and vindicated him of being a ritualist.
