NYSC has sounded a stern warning to some corps members in BauchiState, urging them to avoid partaking in sensitive activities that may attract the wrong attention from their settlements.
The Officials of the National Youth Service Corps cautioned the corps members against participating precisely in local politics.
The Batch C, Stream 1 service members were outrightly asked to stay away from local politics because of the dangers attached to the practice.
Alhaji Namadi Abubakar, the Bauchi State Coordinator of the scheme, gave the warning on behalf of the Director-General, Brig.-Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, at the close of the batch’s orientation course.
He appealed to the batch to be alert and ensure to be security conscious every time of the day, especially now that they’ll be spreading all over the state and heading to their Primary Place of Assignment, PPA.
“In keeping with the objectives of the scheme, you are expected to integrate into your host communities while also appreciating and respecting their cultures.” He said.
