The Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, NTDC, today, recognised one of the outstanding staff that contributed immensely to the growth of the tourism sector.
At the Corporation’s headquarters, management and staff of the office turned out in their numbers to celebrate one of their own, Mr Henry Okechukwu, immediate past Director, Marketing and Promotion who bowed out of service after 33 years of meritorious service.
According to some of the staff-members working with Henry, they admitted that all these years have been a pleasant experience, as testified by even the Director-General, DG, among others.
In a letter of Commendation signed by the Director-General, DG, Chief Folorunsho Coker, the Corporation thanked Mr Henry Okechukwu immensely for his service at the corporation and wished him success in his future endeavours.
Some of the tags identified on their platform include TourNigeria, NigerianFlavours,, domestictourism, Nigeria, retirementhappeningnow, NTDCNews and ntbNigeria.
However, a notable point to raise here is that the Nigeria tourism sector is not hugely contributing to the gross domestic product, GDP of the nation and is mainly affected by the security challenges facing Nigeria.
