Ike Onyema on Mercy's Engagement RIng
It seems Ike Onyema, boyfriend to Mercy Eke, winner of 2019 BBNaija reality TV show might be up to something cozy with his moves on this week’s edition of What Next, their reality TV show.
Ike and Mercy have been able to show to their fans that they love themselves, though some still believe that their love relationship is not true while others think it is not mutual.
Mercy had during one of her dinner dates with Ike asked him of when they are going to get married, because settling down seems to be the next item on her agenda.
But the lover boy was diplomatic enough not to say whether he was also ready or not, so he found an easy way of escaping the question by laughing it off and ensuring there wasn’t any drama that could spoil the night.
However, that question might have spurred Ike to move into a quick action concerning proposing to Mercy as he has started shopping for an engagement ring.
Ike told his cousin Pascal that he has been shopping for an engagement ring. “I have been doing a lot of research lately and I think the time is coming soon. You know is time to get prepared, its time to really start making the hard choices and get serious about the situation.
“I had to take a serious look at what rings are available here in Nigeria, you know the prices, the styles, the sizes, and something that I know I can get to make Mercy happy.”
He also told Pascal that he has been looking at rings options and it is so stressful. That may sound somehow, but you have not heard what actually brought us here. He said the really nice rings have crazy prices.
Ike showed his cousin a sample he saw on the net for N3million which Pascal thought was okay for that price, but Ike said, “No there is a cheaper one”.
He went ahead to say, “the bigger the ring, the bigger the love, I have heard it. No one is going to spend N50million on a ring, at least am not. I just want to show Mercy that I love her, but also stay within the budget.” Now here we are! The guy is just trying to tell everyone who cares, the type and amount of engagement he would be getting for Mercy.
Several people believe that Ike likes money so much and will never take any opportunity given to him to hide that because he will always show it unapologetically.
So he added because at last I am here in Nigeria, and every Naira counts.” Whatever that means to Ike, all we know is that he is finally thinking of going on one knee to ask the question, and we can’t wait to see how that goes.
But, does the cost of a ring actually reflect the dept of love?
