Share

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lead counsel to the Indigenous People of Biafra leader, Nnamdi Kanu, has decried what he described as an influx of prophecies about the IPOB leader.

Kanu’s counsel noted that he could no longer tolerate the myriads of prophecies some Prophets sent to his electronic mail daily; he warned those behind the prophets to desist from such practice. According to him, the numerous fake visions was a distraction to the ongoing legal processes.

Though he believed in prayers and supplications to the Almighty God, Ejiofor said he couldn’t keep mum over all sorts of fake prophesies some prophets keep sending to him from time to time.

However, the lead counsel warned that he might be forced to ban people involved in such acts from commenting or interacting with him on different platforms, adding that Nnamdi Kanu was in high spirits.

According to Ejiofor, all legal processes incidental to freeing Kanu soon is efficiently active.

You will recall that the Nigerian government haD pressed fresh charges against Kanu. According to Abubakar Malami, the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF and Minister of Justice, the court would be hearing cases on murder, terrorism, banditry and criminality, adding that the ongoing trial has taken another course.

The AGF accused Kanu of committing heinous crimes, including killing Fulani cattle rearers and force personnel, amongst others. He described the Fulani herdsmen as innocent and only catering for their cattle.

Meanwhile, he warned members of IPOB to stay away from the next court sitting in Abuja. Malami said Kanu’s lawyers would be permitted around the court premises on the trial day (read more here).
