The Lawyer representing IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, has raised the alarm over his client’s health condition. Ifeanyi Ejiofor revealed that Kanu needs immediate and advanced medical attention because he is not feeling too good.

According to SaharaReporters, Ejiofor urged the federal government to let Kanu have access to his medical personnel in the custody of the Department of State Services.

Meanwhile, Ejiofor noted that the legal team had filed court processes in that regard to enforce that Kanu’s medical doctors attend to him. The Lawyer stated that none of Kanu’s family members had seen him since he was arrested on July 18.

The Lawyer further opined that a preliminary investigation on Kanu’s health shows that his heart has enlarged by 13 per cent.

EveryEvery.ng had reported that Uchechi Okwu-Kanu, the wife of Nnamdi Kanu, has expressed concerns over his husband’s condition.

Okwu lamented that none of Kanu’s members had reached him since he got arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS. She further expressed concerns that Kanu is beaten and tortured by the security agencies in Kenya and Nigeria.

Kanu’s wife noted that the IPOB leader was only calling for a referendum exactly like Scotland did with UK and UK did with the EU. According to Okwu, it is a shame that Britain is not acting to secure their citizens.

In the same vein, a lawyer consulting for the Kanu’s family, Jonathan Cooper, warned that the UK government risked becoming complicit in torture if it did not support Kanu.

Cooper challenged the UK foreign secretary, Dominic Raab, to take the lead by condemning the actions of the Nigerian and Kenyan governments.
