The reunion created an avenue for the housemates to have two-way conversations that would lead to the resolution of their beef in the house, and while that worked for some, that was not all the reunion did for us. Amid all the drama, we have also concluded that Erica and Kaisha deserve an apology from the viewers. Curious to know why?
Let’s take a stroll back to the reunion where Kaisha and Ka3na argued about how Kaisha’s mother was treated during one of their outings. In the heat of the moment, Kaisha made the statement, ‘I am the one that forgived you’ to her colleague Ka3na after the boss lady claimed to forgive Kaisha for her wrongdoings.
This statement stayed on the top of trend lists for days as Nigerians had a field day mocking the reality Tv star for her grammatical error, but a quick search through google showed that we might have overreacted to that statement. According to an online dictionary, Your Dictionary, the word ‘Forgived’ is a nonstandard simple past tense or past participle of forgive. To back this up, another word website claimed that although ‘Forgived’ is an English word, It is not usually used as the standard past tense of Forgive.
Going through these explanations brings us to the point where we admit that although it was a funny statement to make, Kaisha may not be entirely wrong in her use of the word, so an apology for the mockery will suffice, right?
It is no news that Erica and Kiddwaya were head over heels in love with themselves and made no attempt to hide how they felt. From the constant public display of affection to the occasional bedsheet action, it wasn’t easy to miss. This led to public bashing and ridicule from the viewers particularly geared towards Erica. However, more revelations from the reunion show have shown that Erica was not the only one getting down with their love interest. Wathoni mentioned that Dorathy gave Brighto a blowjob while Tolanibaj mentioned that she had sex with Prince, but somehow, these clips did not make it to the screen.
Reacting to this, the fans have proceeded to drag the show’s organisers, claiming that they intentionally painted Erica in a bad light while covering the acts of others.
At this point, it is safe to say the for all the times we bashed Erica for her intimacy with Kiddwaya, she deserves an apology seeing that other housemates did the same or worse.
Having seen these events unfold for Erica and Kaisha, do you think we owe them an apology?
