Folarin Balogun Scores First Europa Goal with Arsenal
Nigerian British soccer star Folarin Balogun who plays doe Arsenal football club scored yesterday in Arsenal Europa League 3-0 win over Molde. According to Balogun, he said his first senior goal with Arsenal in Thursday’s Europa League tie against Molde proves his hard work is now paying off.
The 19-year-old repaid the faith shown in him by his manager Mikel Arteta by scoring 37 seconds after coming into the game from the bench. Arsenal went on to down Molde 3-0 in Norway and secure qualification from their Europa League group. Also on the scoresheet for Arsenal was Nicolas Pepe and Reiss Nelson in a morale-lifting victory.
Folarin Balogun said he will keep working hard for more opportunities to come. He also said: “I’m feeling really happy, it shows that all the hard work I’ve put in over the years is just starting to pay off,” Balogun told Arsenal.com. “It’s important that I keep working hard to enjoy more moments like this.”
