In a fiery condemnation that has gripped national attention, the General Overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has vowed that Nigeria “will never become an Islamic state,” while pronouncing heavy curses on the gunmen who launched a brutal attack on a church in Kwara State, killing five worshippers and abducting 35 others.
The attack, which has left communities shaken and families in anguish, drew a swift and emotionally charged response from the revered cleric during a service. Oyedepo, visibly enraged by the violence against innocent believers, described the assault as an affront on faith and humanity. He warned that those behind the killings and kidnappings would face divine judgment, insisting that their actions will not succeed in destabilizing Nigeria or forcing it into religious submission.
