Nigeria Secured From Boko Haram- Information Minister

During an interview with Voice of America, Alhaji Lai Mohammed made this disclosure about Nigerias current status with fighting Boko Haram.

The information minister said that President Mohammadu Buhari has performed well in addressing insecurity and the country is safer than it was in 2015.

Specifically, he said that the government has secured the areas previously covered by Boko Haram and the Farmers and Herdsman clashes have been curtailed.

Mohammed said that the fight against banditry, killings and banditry in Zamfara and Kaduna had been put under control in the last two weeks because of the synergy among the security forces.

He also added that the government has added more multi dimensional approach besides deployment of forces.

He assured that the government will continue to strengthen partnership on the regional and international levels in addressing the challenges.
