Niger Delta militants have thrown their weight behind former militant, Government Ekpomupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, over the seven-day ultimatum given to President Muhammadu Buhari.
The militant groups want the Buhari-led government to immediately constitute a substantive board for the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, without any further delay.
Also, the militants urged President Buhari to call Mr Godswill Akpabio, the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs and his cohorts to order. According to the Supreme Egbesu Freedom Fighters, the militant groups declared their readiness to ally with the umbrella body of Ijaw Youths Council.
Rising from an emergency meeting led by the Commanding officer, Major General Agadagba, the group also threatened to attack major oil exploration flow stations and oil wells in the region.
