The Paris Saint Germain forward did not travel with the team to Argentina.
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) released a statement saying, “Due to a thigh injury, Neymar will not play against Argentina this Tuesday (November 16th) for the WC Qualification.”
It has been said that the 29-year-old will return to France on Wednesday to determine the extent of the injury.

On the other side, his club teammate Messi is set to play against Brazil in the WC Qualifier.
There were doubts about his fitness after missing the last two games for his club due to a knee injury.
Nevertheless, Messi was called upon to represent his country while coming off the bench in their 1-0 win against Uruguay.
The Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni said in his press conference on Monday that Messi would play.
