Neymar Jnr Suffers another Injury Blow
Former Barcelona star player Neymar Jr who now plays for Paris St-Germain was carried off on a stretcher in the 1-0 lose against Lyon. The player was taken out with what seems to be a serious ankle injury.
Neymar Jr was seen screaming in pain and clutching his ankle after suffering the injury in stoppage time. It resulted from a poor tackle from Thiago Mendes, who received a red card following the tackle.
The only goal in the game came from Tino Kadewere n the first half of the game. Paris Saint Germain has now dropped to the third-place position in the Ligue 1 table, one point behind leaders Lille and second-placed Lyon.
PSG manager Thomas Tuchel said Neymar would have tests to determine the extent and degree of the injury. He also said: “He’s with the physio and the doctors and we have to wait for the tests tomorrow.”
The 28-years-old Brazilian joined the French giants PSG for a world record fee of 222m euros (£200m) from Barcelona in August 2017. So far he has helped the club win three successive Ligue 1 titles as well as reach last season’s Champions League final.
Neymar Jr has been having injury challenges since he became famous, injury has really spoilt his game as he never completes any season with recording at least two injuries.
