New evidence from the EndSARS protest is now available, with credits to a forensic company that conducted series of examinations to confirm the involvement of the Nigerian Army.
The company, sentinel forensic limited, revealed that some of the bullets found at the protest scene belonged to the Soldiers.
The incident that occurred at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos State on October 20, 2020, allegedly recorded the deaths of several youths, which the military denied opening fire.
On Friday, Joseph Funsho, the official that stood in place of the forensic company, made this information available during the gathering before the Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution set up by the government to resolve the pending case.
Bullets found at the scene were reportedly owned and registered to the Nigerian Army, as Funsho presented this findings to the panel.
“The live ammunition presented by the Nigerian Army is of the same calibre as the cartridge casing submitted by the judicial panel,” The Company’s Representative declared.
Another mind-blowing revelation from the expert was that the blank ammunition retrieved from the scene of the marchings is not the same or similar calibre as the cartridge casings submitted by the judicial panel.
“The blank ammunition submitted by the Nigerian Army is not designed to be fired by rifles chambered to 7.62 x 39mm,” he explained.
Meanwhile, it was gathered that the case was subsequently adjourned till further notice to get to the bottom of their investigations.
